Breanne Mode - Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Balanced Business

In this episode of the Road To Growth podcast, we are pleased to introduce you to Breanne Mode. Breanne is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Balanced Business. She has over 13 years of experience in the accounting industry and got her start in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Breanne began working as an auditor with a local accounting firm where her client base consisted of non-profit organizations and foundations, manufacturing businesses, hotels, and retailers to name a few.
 
After several years working in Denver, she moved back to San Diego and transferred to the local office for BDO USA, LLP. BDO USA, LLP is the 5th largest accounting firm worldwide. While there, Breanne planned and oversaw the audits for clients in industries comprising financial services, clinical research, manufacturing, and fitness clubs. Her clients ranged in size from small private companies with $5 million in revenues to large private companies with revenues in excess of $100 million. 
 
After over 5 years in public accounting, Breanne decided to move into private industry. She worked for Rady Children's Hospital before becoming the Controller for a real estate developer located in downtown San Diego. It was from there that she decided it was time to pursue her dream of owning her own business and utilizing her skills to help those who would benefit the most: other small business owners. And in 2015, Balanced Business LLC was officially launched!
 
Having lived in San Diego for many years, Breanne is deeply engrained in the San Diego business community. She is an Executive Board Member of the Clairemont Town Council, Treasurer for Make a Wish San Diego's Emerging Leaders Council and was recently appointed by the Mayor of San Diego as a Commissioner on the City of San Diego's Human Relations Commission.
